Adventures of Registering

The thought of making registry was intimidating, where in the world do I even start? I've never had a child so I don't know even what I'll need. So I slowly walk to the kiosk and enter my information, then I go to the counter and they gave me a scanner. By this time I'm beginning to feel quite powerful with this little thing in my hand.
We quickly walk to the baby section and I decide to tackle this aisle by aisle. Scan, scan, two of these, three of these. I get to the third aisle and my husband is done. He is no where to be found. There was a very nice lady (who already had a child and one of the way) who begins giving my suggestions on what to get, thank you very much for your opinions, moving right along...
Ah, my husband is back. I ask if he would like to scan, no. He is getting tired and wants to leave. I guess I should be scanning for two children now. We get to the bottles and breast bump aisle and given by this time we have been there two, two and a half hours, he wants to go to Starbucks to sleep, yes, sleep, not get coffee. I do not even know where to begin when choosing bottles, or breast bumps, so I send him on his way, because I know I'm going to be here awhile.
So one by one I read all the information on each bottle, I stand back and look at all the sizes and shapes of the nipples? Yes, there is more than one shape. FINALLY
After 3 1/2 hours I return the scanner to the desk. I quickly purchase the cutest little bow tie/plaid shirt combo I walked into as I was leaving the baby clothes. (I swear I was just passing through) And find my husband INDEED sleeping on one of the tables at Starbucks. I go to get coffee, he approaches from behind, he wants me to buy HIM coffee. You mean, you've just been laying on one of their tables for the past hour without even buying coffee? Okay. By this time, I'm tired. I sit down for a quick moment. It's snowing outside. How did I, Ms. Weather women not know it was going to snow?

Happy to say that is over with! Now, next adventure is to register at Babies R Us...

First item scanned! Excuse the double chin there. uh.

Thoughts on the 3rd Trimester

We toured the hospital this last week.

As we walked through the delivery and post delivery floor it all became so real. I got teary eyed as we walked by each room that had little signs on them "Visitors Welcome" or "Mommy is sleeping, come back". Thinking I'll be here in a few months. I'll be meeting my little guy for the first time right here. My new life will begin right in these halls.
I get overwhelmed by all these feelings. I always thought I would feel differently than what I do now. I'm not sure if I actually ever believed I would have a child, but I really am now. The responsibility of raising a person and shaping their life is overwhelming as well. Do other soon-to-be mothers worry about the whole future of their children? And as I write this, he moves inside me, which gives me comfort.
12 weeks left, I will be meeting you, my precious one.

Cold Weather Flannel

Brutal Winters are the worst. I think it snows every day, and you know what I hate? Coats. Goodness, I can't stand them, unless it's cute, which there are many cute coats out there.
This was one of those days, it was icing and I was outside taking pictures..without a coat.

Valentine's Day Love

So I'm not big into Valentines Day. Why do we need a day created by Hallmark that requires us to spend money.
I even hate it more that people try to "outdo" each other on Facebook.
But I'm not totally against this holiday. Hey I like flowers.

The husband surprised me last night with flowers, a candle and uh pistachios? I love pistachios. You know you've been together for a long time when you get pistachios for V-day.

And this little girl is will always be my Valentine
When you are married to someone in the restaurant industry you will almost always spend it alone, but that's okay. It was just me, my pup, and some chinese food. Plus, I get to spend the rest of my life with him so it's an okay trade off.

Ebay Necklaces

These days hampered inside has costed my wallet.

I now wait anxiously by the door for the mailman every day. He's like Santa, oh I love that mailman of mine!

This Kate Spade necklace is absolutely gorgeous, I will be wearing it to one of my baby showers but have yet to find the perfect dress to go with! Still on the hunt! Retailed for $278. I got it much cheaper!

This is the other beauty I purchased, man I can't wait to style this.

Others on the radar:

25 weeks

Gotta love snow days <3

Me and puppy have been stuck in the house the last two days because of the weather. No complains from me. I've been aimlessly browsing pinterest, esty, and craigslist in search of nursery stuff,  things for my shower and ideas for both. Oh and of course some online shopping.
I haven't been feeling 100% today and I feel like my stomach hasn't gotten any bigger in weeks. Making a list of question to ask my doctor on Monday. What would be ones that you typically ask?

25 week pictures!

Pizza Date

I had the beloved dreaded glucose tolerance test today. I was fearful, everyone had told me that the stuff tastes nasty but that's the least of my worries.

I hate needles/blood, the man taking my blood asked if I was dizzy or sweaty as he was taking tubes of blood. I responded by saying yes all of the above but what can ya do.
The drink was actually not that bad...at all...tasted a lot like orange soda minus the carbonation.
My husband taunted me with pizza while I was being plucked.
Done deal! It only lasted for about a minute and I got to go on a pizza date afterwards with my husband. Score.

Our favorite local pizzeria,  Dewey's Pizza

I'm 26 weeks and still trying to avoid the maternity section. I'm trying to keep it easy.
