New Directions

I have thought about it for awhile now, and I have decided to go in a new direction with the blog.

I have always struggled with content versus consistency, and I have literally failed at both. I have changed the name of the blog because I thought it would be much more interesting and easier to keep up with if I wrote about things that I actually care about.
Life after Baby has left me as a different person, as much as other mommma's can attest to. I do not have time nor the energy to pick out an outfit, take pictures, and then post and talk about it.
BUT I can talk about my life.

My life is no way is that entertaining, but I do live with an entertaining man. Thus the blog.

We have different views on the world, well, because we come from opposite ends of the earth so that is to be expected. He gives me wisdom on things that I miss and he makes me laugh at the most odd things.

Here is my somewhat-of-a-journal to our lives.

I hope you find a little bit of entertainment while you are here.

Life Lately

Staying ahead of things has been a challenge in my life lately.

Anyone relate?

I had a busy 11 week quarter for school, but only 6 more months and I'll be done!! I can hardly believe it!

So here are some snap shots of life lately.
I'll go more into detail with each later on.

Summer Picks

Summer has officially started!

I have a love/hate relationship with summer. I love all the summer activities, but could do without the humidity, 90+ temperatures, and mosquitoes!

I also have a hard time with what to wear in the summer, I am not the t-shirt and jeans kind of girl, but summer screams that hot weather and I have little options.

But I have found some things that I wouldn't mind wearing this summer!!
Love  this website I found and I'm probably late to the game but the prices are A+!

Spring Cleaning

Again, with the same topic, trying to transition from one season to the next is challenging. However, I believe the first step is to clean out your closet .

I've decided that having to many clothes is a bad thing. I have a whole closet(or three) FULL of clothes yet I still can never find anything to wear or I wear the same thing every day. This has become  an increasing problem since having a child. I honestly do not get dressed(out of my legging) 4 out of the 7 days a week.

Stick to the basics, and if you do want to go outside of the basic then go with a cheaper piece. I am done paying $100 for a blouse and only wearing it a few times. I found some great pieces at Forever 21 recently and only about $20, I can afford to only wear it a few times.

I literally got rid of two bags full of clothes (watch my instagram for a sale!) !!

Here are some of my new pieces.

I am also obsessing over Rompers right now!!
I bought this one:

And speaking of rompers ... . who is excited for the Lilly Pulitzer for Target this Sunday? I'll be stocking Target.com come midnight.

Transitioning

I have a hard time transitioning from one season to the next with my clothes.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I no longer have hours upon hours to dedicate to my closet so I haven't put my weather clothes away-gotten my summer clothes out. I'm having such a hard to finding clothes lately. I went shopping yesterday, with my almost 11 month old- let me tell you, not fun. So on top of being exhausted trying to keep up with him, sweating profusely, and looking for clothes, it was nearly impossible. I see it not getting easier any time soon so I better get better at it. I'd love some help with your spring fashion tips! What do you think is a go-to this spring?? I found some cute outfits on pinterest I thought I might be able to pull off ...

I'd love to see what you  are pinning right now! Add me on pinterest!

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Who is so over winter??

I feel like after Christmas spring should be next.

Baby C has started walking, hide your car(keys) hide  your wipes, he's running into everything around here. Last night he got the vaseline that was sitting on the end table and in two point five seconds he had got it open and both hands fully engulfed in it.

Currently loving:

All things Mickey Mouse, decided to first birthday in this theme (When have I liked themes?!?) and have gone full obsesso on it. Ordered: matching mommy and daddy outfits for the party and well as mickey earrings for myself?!

J.Crew(always) But especially this new shirt I got!

Here

THIS Kate Spade Dress

My mocha Starbucks

THIS Etsy shop! She is so nice and is making me a custom pair of leggings for my boy

That is all for now.
Winter I'm over you

SNOW day

Since Going back to school, I love when it snows and school is called off..

Just looked and it's sold out :(

Now, I get to catch up on some homework.. or write a post, ya know priorities.

This is our first snow of the season, and baby couldn't care less about it, thank goodness. I will enjoy this year because I know next he will be begging to be out in it, brrr. It's to cold for me.

But I did get this great new coat at J.Crew Factory for $80!! So if I do go out, I'll look cute.

Still Surviving

So I skipped a whole month, whoops, my bad.

So my guy is almost 9 months, and I still feel like I'm just surviving most days? Can other mommies relate, or is mine just an overly demanding child? There are still days I can not go to the bathroom without having to carry a child in there with me.
He is super active and he has recently discovered the stairs.
Exhausted is the word of the day-ereday.

Yesterday I had to go to the bathroom, the one that takes a little longer than the other, and I hear the dog food bowl, I rush into the kitchen to find dog food all over and he already had a piece in his mouth, yikes. I couldn't get it out, so he ate it. Bad mom award right herrre.

The weather was beautiful this weekend, We wasted time between naps outside, walking around. We actually went to the park and he fell asleep half way through so I did another lap around the park. I always have awkward conversations in my head with people that I see. I know it's weird, but while walking I kept passing the same people who were going the opposite way but after awhile I get enough nerve to say something as I pass by them(after just smiling at them about 5 or 6 times). Today after passing by a lady a few times, as she was approaching I YELLED "Wow, we are really burning calories today" for her only to smile at me and me realize her headphones were cranked up loud. Fail.
