Presents bought

Yes that is a fleece blanket underneath the tree, Last year when looking for a skirt to my disbelief that were priced WAY more than I wanted to pay, so I went to Walgreens and bought this for like $5!!

It's finally starting to look like Christmas in this household. Its hard to believe that Christmas is less than a month away.  I have to get on the ball with holiday shopping, I did not buy one thing for anyone when I went shopping Saturday, Yes, I'm guilty, I only shopped for myself.  Looking forward to these warmer temperatures heading our way come this weekend. What should I do?

Shopping Saturday

I love to shop, however you could not pay me to go out on Black Friday!

So I went out on Saturday, and I do say I got some pretty good deals!

Gap had 60% off on select sweaters and Anthropologie put an extra 25% off already clearanced merchandise and JCrew had 25% off everything in the store. I'm getting excited for Christmas now!!

{Blazer from JCrew, shoes Anthro, Peplum Top Anthro(here) Abercrombie jeans Jewels:Oxford Trunk Necklace(here) Betsy Johnson watch and BCBG "Dream" Bracelet

I bought this peplum top in white and black a few months back at anthropologie (on sale $50), did some alterations and could not find anything to wear with it. Until yesterday, I thought it looked quite good under my Jcrew Blazer!

It was so stinkin cold outside yesterday, I was freezing, but I hate wearing coats. I refuse until it gets below 30ºF!!
Are you ready for Cyber Monday???! I AM!

Happy Thanksgiving

Well with Thanksgiving coming to an end I wanted to acknowledge it.

I did not do the whole 22 days of thanksgiving but if I had these are the things I would have said:

Every day I ask God why he has blessed me with such an amazing life. Why was I born in a country where I can freely do what I want. Why I was born into a christian home where I was taken to church every week. Why was I born with no physical problems. Why I am so blessed with a family who by the way is a little disfunctional but that's the best part. Why I met such an amazing guy who takes care of me and loves me despite my flaws. Why I have such amazing friends, near and far. Why I have never known what it's like to be hungry or without a warm bed. Why I do not have to worry about how I'm going to  pay the next bill. I am truly truly blessed and I know I do not deserve it. I am thankful for the eternal life I have in heaven and I hope I never take anything for granted. Thankful for another year I get to spend the holidays with all of my grandparents. I am thankful for a reliable dependable vehicle and can go out a buy new clothes(and shoes) when I want. I am also thankful that I can go to school and be what I want to be. Thank you Jesus for the many blessings you have given me. I hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving. Please do not take anything for granted, because it all can be taken away in a blink of an eye.

I am so very thankful I get to come home to this face every day, my baby fox

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever.

First Day

Boy did I feel old sitting there interviewing my classmate next to me. Our first assignment was to meet someone new and ask them a series of question to get to know them better with the finally result making a tag name for each other. I asked her how old she was. "18" she replied. Oh please don't ask me my age I thought after I had gathered my thoughts. Well at least she had siblings older than me. haha

I won't normally put receipts on here well just because I do not cook a whole lot and when I do it's pretty much either very basic(hello my husband is indonesian, chicken and rice are a common thing around here) or I make it up and I do not have time to write it down. BUT I do have one today. And more Bali pics. The last I promise. :)

My Potato Soup, was perfect for the cold rainy day

Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 5 servings

Ingredients

1-3/4 cups diced peeled potatoes
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/8 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 can (12 ounces) fat-free evaporated milk, divided
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese

Directions

In a large saucepan, combine the potatoes, onion, celery, broth and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15-18 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Combine cornstarch and 1/4 cup milk until smooth; stir into potato mixture. Add the remaining milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from the heat. Stir in cheese until melted.

Mmmm, it was good
