Christmas List

I can not believe it is already Christmas! Like ONE. WEEK. Away. Who is done with their shopping??

That would not include me. I found it quite difficult to do shopping with a 7 month old. Who want to put up with all those crowds anyway. Let alone with a baby in tow.
So I did most of my shopping online this year, and they better get here before Christmas!
I was going for more "unique" gifts this year and bought some things off Etsy.(But it also means unreliability on when it's going to get here.
4 days until they have to be here.

Anyhow, here are some my picks for Christmas stuff.(Stuff that I'm getting or have already).

Okay, okay, I'm going to admit I am a teeny tiny bit obsessed with all things JCrew. I hate it. I also hate that everyday their things are on sale this time of year BUT...

Turtle necks are back

6 Months

My baby is 6 months old now. Where.Has.The.Time.Gone.

I feel like he has always been here. Like I have always known him. I guess that the funny thing about having a child. They are a part of you before they were even here.
Days are filled with laughing, playing,  tickling, dancing, and singing. Recently he enjoys watching his mommy dance around like a crazy women to christmas music. I feel like I get to entertain him for a good hour and exercise at the same time!
He is always smiling, and lets me get things done now, he is ready to walk, like yesterday.
He has the sitting up thing down and he has started to get in the crawling position from the sitting position. He has changed so much just this last week. He hugs and lifts his hands when wanting to be picked up. My heart is so full.
I love him deeply and dearly. I'm so blessed.

He hates after bath time while I try to get his clothes on, I usually have to sing "if your happy and you know it" really loud to keep him from crying, he gets frustrated easily if things don't go his way. He still gets bored pretty fast, so we switch from activity to activity throughout the day. Other than that he has turned into a fairly easy child this last month. Crossing fingers it lasts!

I Love Fall Most of All

So I stay home 5 out of the 7 days, and my style has become "comfortable". I remember right before I had Cohen in a conversation I had with my mom, I said something along the lines do you want me to wear sweats all day every day? Oh funny now, guess what 9 out of 10 times I am wearing -yoga- pants and a tee. You see I didn't realize I would have a baby hanging off my bo chest.

I feel like Fall you can be a little "lazy" when it comes to the fashion, or am I wrong?

You'll only find me in a flannel, black pants, and boots these next few month, so be warned.

I just order this one from J.Crew last week. A few years ago I bought the blue gingham flannel shirt and one day my sister stole it, busted one of the buttons and shrunk it, now I can't seem to find another one. I search ebay daily.

I love them to be a tad bit on the large size and shopping in the mens section gives me excellent choices, I usually hunt in the mens section at Abercrombie, but Old Navy has some great ones this year.

 I love this one{Here}

So heres to Fall

Hence my outfit this past weekend at the Art show we attended. It was beautiful and I just love September because there is ALWAYS something going on in St. Louis on the weekends.

Summer Time Makes Me Feel Fine

Due to school and just crazy life, its hard to throw "blogging" in a time slot.
I'll try better.

It's funny what pregnancy does to your body. I lost all my baby weight but things shift, I swear my butt is smaller now but my stomach has a nice roll, anyway, when I've been ordering clothes I've sized up, and then they come and are to big. I've done it on 3 different occasions and I haven't seemed to learn that I'm still the same size I was. I love all that is a summer sale and have been taking advantage of J.Crew's clearance as well as Gap and baby Gap,Oshkosh and Carter.

Thoughts at 3 months

As I look through pictures of these last 3 months, time seems like it slowed down. It seems like a lifetime ago when I didn't have a child. Yet, in those same pictures I wonder when did my baby get so BIG?
I know, he really isn't that old or big quite yet, but from that (kinda) small 8 lb baby to this now (at least) 13 lbs one, and those 5 pounds make a huge difference!

Nothing can prepare you for parenthood. I mean nothing. You can read all the books, observe every family, and take every class yet you will STILL not be prepared.
Truth be told I did not read any books and only took one class, a delivery one, and lets face it the delivery is the easiest part of parenthood, so I'm not going to even pretend I was somewhat prepared.
Early on I felt guilty and ungrateful. Guilty for not "loving" the whole experience of being a mother. I didn't get to go out to do the simply things, I felt dirty, I was tired, no, I was exhausted, and this baby always cried. I was isolated from the world, I didn't even get to go outside most days. Not only was I not "loving" this I actually hated this. I began to realized this was going to be SO SO much harder than I ever thought. I think women do not talk about the lonely-ness of becoming a mother. How could I be the only person on this planet to feel this way? Was I depressed, yeah, maybe I was, but I was reasonable. All babies are different, I was a colic-y baby so, God Bless my mother, I screamed bloody murder for the first 3 months of my life, its a wonder why my parents had anymore. My baby was did not have colic but he did cry a lot. He hardly slept(misconception with babies sleeping all the time) and I could never put him down, to this day he still won't sit in his swing. My husband works a lot so it was up to me to take care of this baby.
But Guess what?! I survived the first 3 months or rather he survived! He is changing at a rapid pace and I love him with my whole heart. Not to say I ever didn't, of course I did, but that goes on the back burner with just trying to keep yourself and baby alive.
He smiles and laughs and talks to me now, hey, he even lets me put him down of a minute now so I can get some things done with him awake.
With Facebook and blogs and instagram, I think people forget that these are just tid bits of peoples lives, we are not all perfect and half the time people are lying when they confess a wonderful beautiful life that they lead. It's misleading and inaccurate.  We all have struggles and whomever told you being a parent is wonderful and just kind of hard is misinforming you. I just roll my eyes at those, cause it's hard, really really hard, and I solute each and every one of you mothers and fathers out there who are honest with their struggles.

Here is my booger today, goodness I love him so. He's getting ready to crawl, I swear, what three month old crawls?

July's Wish List

When I first found out I was pregnant last year, I was excited that I would be having him in May(summer) because I thought: great weather, we can do things outside, go fun places. That was my never-been-a-mom expertise right there for ya.
He's two and a half month old. What can you do with a baby? Hardly anything. Did I forget that I live in the Midwest? Where most of the summer is spent in the 90s, the outside is no where for a new baby to be. Then comes this child, who by the way, hates being in his carseat and/or stroller as of late, and we can go no where by ourselves. So this summer has been me sitting at home. I'll keep my expectation of this summer for next.
Many afternoons are spent wandering the interweb, which has been me into trouble(Shop-alcoholic anonymous here) and have found some favorite things that I'm lusting over.

Weekend Floral

Fitting into your new body after baby is not easy. It is beyond a struggle and even though I did not gain a lot of weight it, your body is still different after baby regardless of weight.

I did some after baby shopping recently and purchased these fun pants from J.Crew, they are pretty comfy for my new status as a mom.
