Deals of the Day

So I broke down and bought my first pair of Maternity pants - well really leggings.

I haven't gained that much weight and haven't really needed to wear maternity clothes. I haven't bought any, but with Old Navy having them for only $8.00 how could I pass that up? This being my first pair ever I'm not quite sure how they will fit, but excited to get them and try them out. I hear once you go maternity pants you never go back. I might be in trouble.

Maternity Low-Rise Leggings
Old Navy is having 20% off any amount online order or 30% off $100 or more orders!

J.Crew is also having a sale of 40% off their final sale items!
Whoa, over 1300 of them in the women department! I spent quite a few minutes on there.
With me really not knowing what will fit and wanting to continue to wear  "normal" clothes for as long as I can, I just chose to stick with the basics.

Vintage Cotton V-neck tee

I ended up buying the heather gray and black, with discount only $14.50 each, steal.
This sale last until the 21st. So get on it!

Dominican Republic Trip

So last week we went on a pre-baby, last family vacation to the Dominican Republic.

What a beautiful place. We had lots of relaxation, and rejuvenating.
Most days were split between the beach and the pool, and when I mean most days, I mean every day.

While we were gone the US had quite a bit of cold snap, temperatures I have never personally remember ever experiencing and thanks to vacation still have not. But 13" of snow. No thank you!

Here's some clips of our trip.

And yes I became a lobster the first day there.

Hello 2014~

So this  llllooooonnnnggg break was way longer than ever expected!

But I do have quite an excuse.

In September I started a job working again, plus going to school, it was a busy quarter.
And if you follow me on instagram you saw also We are expecting our first child! I'm due May 9th and it was a tough first trimester! But I'm well over half way there, and getting more excited every day to see our little boy face to face. He is a busy little guy and I think half the time he is practicing his soccer moves in there.
Here's a little of what's been going on. I'm back at school this quarter but I will try to get better at the blogging thing again!

Black and White stripe Obsessed

I mean, come on, who doesn't love classic stripes?

From interior design to fashion, you can't go wrong.

These are some of my Pinterest obsessions

And I can't forget about my new Iphone Case

I love interior design so much, sometimes it hurts.

These have been my recent projects in and around my place!

My Main wall in my living room and I really wish I had a before picture, but basically it was pretty simple.

I spent around $35 on the project.

The Window pane was free, I found it in our barn last year when we were moving, I just cleaned it up and tadah!

The G and M(my husband's family name and my family name initials) were free from my old job, they were throwing away old signs so I (and someone else) tore them off and I just spray painted them! Mirror Star is something I've had for many years, I got it on clearance at the end of christmas one year, I think it was orginally around $25 and I enedd up paying $5. Black Frame was another thing that I have had for years and had been sitting in my basement. I just took out the old pic and tore a picture out of one of my design books and framed it! Shadow Box and Sea Fan, these are what I spent my money on, the Shadow box is from Michaels orginally $24.99 but I got it on sale for 40% off, score. And the Sea Fan I got off Ebay for $8.

And the only thing left is the American Flag, which is again something I already had, I only bought the red, white and blue spray paint. Taped off the stripes, made my own star templates and went down to business.

So glad how it turned out!

AND Today I worked on this...

The Picture on the left is the chairs that go to the Pub table, but honestly they are big and bulky for my small kitchen and a few months back I fell off one and broke the back in half(that is a story into it's self) So I was ready for a change! Again I used what I had! I bought these other stools two years ago off Craig's List for $100(4) and have them sitting upstairs doing nothing, orginally black I spray painted them white :)
Very pleased how the turned

Don't you love that cute little Basil plant? My dad grew it for me! I spray painted that pot too! :)

Summer of Fun

This summer has been one of the craziest I've had, who knew when you don't have a job so many other things fill up your time.

So I had a three week break from school in June, and those three weeks came and went fast! One of the things I did was I went to Chicago. Much time was spent shopping, and I'll soon show you what I bought but here are some "summer" pictures so far!

What are your favorite things to do while on summer break?

Yummy noodles at a hole in the wall place

It was Blackhawks weekend! We got to the see the parade

McDonalds walk at 3am

Me and My mom went up on the train and then my sister came up the next day, I realize now that I did not take that many pictures! But we had such a great time!

I have started a new diet where I will not be eating any preservatives, no whites(sugar, flour, rice) all natural foods, and today is day two! It's going pretty good. I have quite a few recipes that I will be trying and if they turn out good, I'll start to post some! This is a 14 day things and if I make it I will continue it!
